Our Services
We're here to help you bring nature back to your property in whatever capacity we can. That being said, we do specialize in the following areas. If you don't see what you are after in the following areas, feel free to reach out!
01

Tree Planting
We are capable and skilled in planting individual trees in varied habitats and terrain. This service is for planting trees on an individual basis, where a planting machine is of no use or the property is inaccessible. Whether a small seedling from 6" to 2' or 3' tall, or saplings ranging from 4' to 15' tall, planting needs to occur properly to ensure the highest success for the tree. Options vary from planting only, to planting with an on-going service and watering options.

Cost: This is heavily dependent on the number of trees being planted, the size of trees, the habitat/access to the planting area and more. Please reach out for a specific conversation and quote. If governmental/rebate programs are available, we can walk you through that process too.
02
Lawn to Prairie/Wildflower Garden
Lawns are overrated and contribute very little to local biodiversity. Using our lawns as wildflower gardens or restoring them to native prairie allows for better soils, better storm water mitigation, and helps restore our natural habitats. Insects a plenty move in, and with this comes the wildlife we all love. Not to mention it's a beautiful! In some instances, prairies can actually hold and retain more carbon than forests.

Cost: This is heavily dependent on size of habitat to be rewilded, as well as the level of planting required/wanted. In many circumstances natural rewilding can occur, though it would be a slower process with less number of native species and more invasive species. A full consultation is required to accurately price the project. If governmental/rebate programs are available, we can walk you through that process too.

03

Miyawaki Forest
Convert your lawn or property into a thriving Miyawaki forest. Our experts will design and plant a diverse range of native trees and shrubs to create a thriving mini-forest in your backyard, enhancing biodiversity and environmental impact. The Miyawaki forest planting method creates driving competition for light, spurring fast growth of all species. Additionally, it allows for an improved and natural mycorrhizal network, improving soil health and improving local biodiversity. This is an excellent option to bring in many species in a much smaller footprint.

Cost: Again, this is highly dependent on size, number of trees, access to the planting location, etc. Through a proper, no cost consultation, we will create a quote specific to your goals and property. If governmental/rebate programs are available, we can walk you through that process too.

04
Machine Planting
Machine planting is exactly how it sounds, using a mechanical system to plant trees. This is specifically for large-scale planting operations, planting full fields, acreages, etc, where hand-planting isn't feasible. This is usually paired with Forests Canada programs and rebates. These planting operations require much planning and foresight, and we enjoy working with our partners in doing so, creating massive impacts over large acreages

Cost: This is heavily dependent on the number of trees being planted, the size of trees, the habitat/access to the planting area and more. Please reach out for a specific conversation and quote. If governmental/rebate programs are available, we can walk you through that process too.

05

Wetland Creation/Rehabilitation
Working with our partners, we are always looking for sites that are condusive to wetland creation or rehabilitation. Wetlands are impactful ecological drivers in our south-eastern Ontario location. They harbour specific flora and fauna, help remove pollution from our waterways, control and physically clean our water. They are important stopping areas for migratory wildlife and are generally a magnet for wildlife. Ourselves and our partners, are happy to identify areas on your property that would benefit and qualify for either a new wetland, or an improved existing wetland.

Cost: Again, this is highly dependent on size, access and the physical requirements for creating or improving the wetland. We use local excavation partners to help with requirement site manipulation. This process can highly benefit from private and governmental programs, like working with Ducks Unlimited for available grants. This will be discussed during the consultation process.

Property Walks/Photography
Maybe you are an owner of a new property and are looking for a general opinion on improving the land, or documenting specific plants or animals on the property. Aside from planting, we can also visit you and your property to discuss the property in general, identifying plants, animals and how to improve the land to help local biodiversity.
Additionally, if you know you have specific wildlife on your property that you are after a photo of, we can help with that too, putting in the hours to find and create stunning photography of your favourite animal or landscape on your property. This can be a meaningful gift, impactful art, or a family heirloom for years to come.

Cost: General property walks, based on size of property and time required, range from $250 to $500 for a full day (only if required)
Purposeful and targeted photography on your property ranges from $400 to much higher, all depending on the target species and the time required to photograph it. Within this option, you are paying for our time, but also for a series of digital photographs as well. Printing and framing can be an added service if required.
